obscure reference
I got a laugh out of the reference to a "Silkwood shower" from Jack. This series has a higher joke density than anything else I've seen in a good long time.

I think that was part of the idea for Deep Space 9, though it went in other directions pretty quickly

This movie sucked when it was called "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band" but I sat through that pile of steaming crap anyway.

I took a 12 and 14 year old to see this and they liked it. It was pretty much torture for me.

"Neuromancer" would be the best novel to start with, but if you have never read any of WG's stuff you might want to start out with the short story collection, "Burning Chrome". That will give you a good feel for his style and ideas.
