I get the idea that for progress to be made in technology there will be failures, some minor, some massive. And that is all part of figuring out what works and what doesn't.

Personally I liked it quite a bit but it was very different from the books, more mainstream detective-like than supernatural, although I felt the tone was fitting. The cast was top-notch and Mangan really gave it his all.

Personally I found it almost aggressively unfunny. I may try some of the others but if this is an average or better example (just going by the aggregated grade) it's not looking good.
