People who dismiss her as making only easy smut jokes obviously haven't seen the best episodes of her tv show, which was at times brilliant.

Well, I definitely would try not to move during the rainy season, for practical purposes.

Sorry, because of the new layout, I didn't see your reply for two days.

It's not that mind-boggling; he's the ultimate goat.

I just finished going through all the comments to look for recommendations of my own. Here's everything that was recommended. I added a + each time a new person recommended an already-named episode. I didn't include Cave Dwellers, Mitchell, or Pod People, because I've seen them already, but all three are brilliant.

You have a very broad definition of "classic". Most of these shows were deeply flawed but special enough to be worth watching. Far from classics, though.

For those who don't know, the Toronto Sun is a blatantly right-wing publication that supports Ford no matter what he says or does. This show would likely have tried to portray Ford in a positive light. They probably realized it was impossible to gather enough footage to do that on a weekly basis.

Ah, Gus Rethwisch, my obscure object of desire.

They laughed at you for ranking 25 movies? I rank movies for every year. Sometimes, that's upwards of 60.

I'm not surprised by the price of your rental, since it's not in a city or suburb. Unfortunately, prices in Vancouver itself are as bad as they are in Toronto.

I don't actually mind snow much; it's the cold I hate. And Vancouver doesn't get as cold in the winters. But I'm guessing there isn't much sunshine during those months either.

Thanks for all the info and links! Temperatures and rainfall are almost exactly the same in Powell River as they are in Vancouver, but North Vancouver gets TWICE as much! That's crazy, considering it's not far.

I did a quick search for "Sunshine Coast" and checked the weather info for some towns there (like Gowers), and they also get buckets of rain. So I must be checking the wrong area. Can you name a town near you? I'm interested in knowing where this lovely area is…

I've actually been considering moving to Vancouver. You don't mind the rainy winters?

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Ugh. The only reason to cry at the end of Life Is Beautiful is with relief that the obnoxious Benigni ego-fest is over.

I'm surprised there was no mention in the review of the significance of a major reset for two characters. Both Leslie and Tom are leaving behind something that wasn't doing their plotlines any favours.

Those who voted for him must indeed bear part of the blame. I am definitely not one of them, however!

I only wish it was "was" and not "is". As a Toronto resident, the joke got old pretty fast.

I just wonder why anyone thought it was a good idea to write his name down, when Monica was obviously the best choice. Or maybe that's my hatred for Monica showing…
