I would've chosen Dirty as the best place to start - it's their most accessible album, while still being awesome. It's how I got a friend of mine into the band. I like Goo, but I don't know if it would've gotten me to check out more of their stuff.
Oh, those two were on their way there already in seasons 3 and 4. Seriously, this show's problem is simple: they ran out of interesting stories to tell about these characters after two seasons.
So, the season I gave up on Modern Family is the one where Lily went from insufferable to mvp?
Speaking of Tyson, I think it was Vytas writing his name down the first time, but who did it the second time??
Bingo.
Interesting. I had the opposite reaction.

I know. Like I said, I'm not talking about the math of it; I'm talking about the way it feels when you watch it.
I checked out that linked article calculating how much time he spent repeating the same day. I have to say, as much as I like the movie, they didn't do a good job of making it feel like he'd spent years in this loop. This headline reveals that Saul survives the show. That's kind of a minor thing to spoil, but spoiled it is nonetheless.
I didn't say, "most gay men are like Jack". Just that several are. Most of my acquaintances don't fall in that category, actually.
1. I'm totally with you that low-key gays are underrepresented in the media, but since a lot of gays are like Jack, I don't see him as a flaw on the part of the show. That being said, nothing wrong with finding him annoying.
Count me among the few gay folk who were amused by this show (for the first few years). Who cares that Jack is stereotypically outrageous? The important thing is that he was portrayed sympathetically. And that he was hilarious.
Dude, if you can't grow proper facial hair, just don't.
I agree with you about the ending of Apt Pupil. I was pleasantly surprised by Needful Things.
Not a Shawshank fan.
I actually made such a list once, and Pet Sematary ranked 23rd out of 40. My top 8:
Stand By Me
The Dead Zone
Apt Pupil
Carrie
The Dark Half
Misery
The Mist
The Green Mile
