Thanks for the helpful advice.

This sounds like a really good episode of television. My question: do I have to watch the 3.5 seasons preceding it to enjoy it? I know this is supposed to be a great show, but I have SO many other tv shows to catch up on…

You guys remind me SO often how glad I am to be Canadian!

It hit some real lows (evil Abed, that whole air conditioning subplot), but I don't understand how the third season can be seen as a BIG step down when it contains Remedial Chaos Theory, Horror Fiction in Seven Spooky Steps, Regional Holiday Music (my pick for best episode of the show), Basic Lupine Urology,

You guys's government is shut down? Can anyone give me the Cliffs Notes version of this situation? Cause this is the first I hear of it and I don't feel like sifting through Google links to figure it out.

He doesn't care whose toes he steps on!

Munich is one of his best. As is Duel.

If that's what I was looking for, thanks! (I can't check right now because I'm at work.)

Those have always been two of my favourites of theirs. If you cut some of the filler on New Adventures, it would be my second-favourite after Automatic for the People.

I have no desire to see the whole movie, but I'll have to look for that "Leave" section on youtube…

I have to admit I was a little heart-broken when I got to the bottom and saw this was "only" two pages, but now I'm really impressed how much you got in 15 minutes. This must've been pure joy; he sounds awesome.

Yeah, I read it as you explaining why a joke was awesome, which is exactly your job.

Ha!

Oh Christ, why did I click that super-spoilery* link.

@avclub-b3e157f795f95a0eeddae30fc92ebd3d:disqus They didn't actually make that decision; NBC did, and I think it might've been without their knowledge.

I'm kind of embarrassed for those people who say "they were in limbo the whole time!" I mean, how dumb can you be?

My problem wasn't so much with the finale as it was with the parts of the last season that took place in the afterlife. Take those out, and the finale is great.

I thought we all realized this at the end of LOST

@avclub-6b8aa777ed70e7f15a45947a0f0c5986:disqus Worked better in the book, which was my favourite of the bunch.

It's certainly the only one that made me cry (the ending).
