I agree; that and the very last movie were my favourites, though Cuaron's is very good as well. I think a lot of people slightly overrate the third movie because at that point it was a relief to see someone get it right after the bland first two.

1. Ugh, I can't wait for Brad to be gone. So obnoxious. (I refuse to call him by his last name, which he hasn't earned.)
Because it wasn't conceived as a trilogy; the three films were grouped as such after the fact.
I found that the confusion shut me out of the movie. But it's good to know it's not representative. I'll give Rossellini another try.
Devastating sounds good to me. Thanks for the reply.
I'm starting to think I have to stay away from this site completely until I finish watching Breaking Bad (I'm on season 3). Every picture and headline about it looks like a spoiler…
My list of acclaimed movies I just don't get is topped by Paisan. I barely remember it now, but when I watched it some years ago, I noted that I found it heavy-handed, incomprehensible, uninvolving, disjointed, and melodramatic. I'm not trolling here. I genuinely want someone to explain to me what makes it great - or…
I'm going to move to the States so I can take advantage of the free shipping.
For the sake of those who haven't seen it, could you make your post even more vague? Yeah, yeah, I know it's 23 years ago, but still…
And yes to your sound design comment. The sound that stays with me the most is the needle thumping over and over again because it reached the end of the record.
I've seen the Twin Peaks finale mentioned, but my vote goes to the episode where we find out who killed Laura (S02E07).
Personally, I found the seventh episode of season 2 scarier. (The one where we find out who killed Laura.)
origin stories can get mighty tiresome
Jesus Christ, will you people stop spoiling Breaking Bad on every second unrelated article? Not all of us are caught up!
Is it possible for a comedy to be too fast-paced? Because this felt like I was being pushed along by the constant music, the fast delivery, and the editing.
That's not a quote from new Simpsons.
I was wondering how they were going to address Andy's odd change in body type without betraying his character, and they did it just about as well as possible. I guess we'll be seeing him a lot in loose-fitting clothing from now on, though.
I get this joke!
Overall I still think it's a pretty good show, but I only have so much free time, and "pretty good" doesn't cut it.
I agree with him about Poltergeist II - it's actually a pretty good film. Julian Beck was fucking terrifying in it.
After two mediocre seasons, I figured I had better things to do with my time, so I've dropped this show. For those who saw these two episodes, have I made a mistake?
