It got a little better after the first three episodes, then it got a LOT worse. And it's pretty far from the book. That wouldn't bother me, if it was any good. At this point, I'm 85% sure I won't be watching season 2.

I'm certainly not defending the show, but I'm pretty sure we're meant to understand that Big Jim will be making his own rules under the… you know.
Perhaps. And I disagree with that method.
Kid A sounds like a clouded brain trying to recall an alien abduction
For some reason, Amnesiac is a totally different experience for me
Edit: SPOILER ALERT
I suggest continuing to stay away. It's boring-bad, not fun-bad. I disagree with this higher-than-average grade.

I suggest continuing to stay away from his interviews to continue enjoying his films. I didn't need him to explain anything either; after watching the film I was simply curious to hear directly from him, and the interview was a special feature on the dvd.
Kids these days…
Christ, I was 20 in 1992.
Aw, reading this makes me kind of sad. I remembered this show as a very funny, wonderfully written sitcom.
Sounds like something Tommy Wiseau would say. "Good thinking!"
"middle-of-the-road episodes"? Are you insane? 'Boys and Girls' is one of the show's best episodes in any season!
Chore is right. My thought was often that they made us work way too hard for laughs.
He's said that the fourth season's story is supposed to lead directly into the movie.
This kind of structure could work better for a drama, perhaps.
Him bringing up Kid A and Godfather II shows he's still fixated on the idea that because he did something innovative, he thinks it automatically means it's good.
