You're headed into the good stuff. The first episode I feel measures up to the old show is "Smashed", aka episode 9.

I laughed, but I like "Treefingers". I used it to score a montage of footage I took of aquatic life, and it fit perfectly.
That works for some people. Sounds like it did for her.
I stand corrected!

See, it's all about our obsessions. For me, this was a convergence of my love of movies and lists.
When I started doing this, I created a Word table, and that's still what I use today! Actually I have one list with title, year, director, actors, genre and rating (out of 100), and a second list for mini-reviews.

I agree that it's ridiculous, but for me it's boring-ridiculous. It would have to go much further over the top to become interesting to me.
Worst episode yet. This show keeps using big music cues for moments we have no reason to care about.
-Girl we've never seen before says hi to Jim (BIG MUSIC CUE)
-Jim stockpiles guns in the shelter (BIG MUSIC CUE)
Maple syrup.
The boom operator? I bet he's got some stories.
