L cuts and J cuts are a term I've never heard before, and I can't understand where they would be useful. Most cuts are either one or both.

I got a genuine, loud laugh from "one thing money can't buy is your Mama. She's for free and everybody knows it."

I haven't read it, but judging from the plot description I just read, it's absolutely not. They're both small town stories of boys who can see ghosts, but that's about it.

ParaNorman is my favorite film of 2012.
