I wouldn't say that “the biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams” is totally nonsensical so much as it is deeply stupid and utterly useless.

Does anyone else see Vogel's constant questioning of Dexter's un-psychopath-like connections to others (and her reactions to his revelations of and explanations of them) as her slow realization that she seriously fucked up ~30 years ago? That it is slowly dawning on her that Dexter could have been a perfectly normal…
