It's even stranger it was left out, given that this is the 100th episode. Related: Oh god, I've watched 99 episodes of Burn Notice.

It's been a sharp drop from the strength of season 4, but as it's gone on I think this has been a better season than S3, even if it all feels a little bit pointless.

She was the slutty but incompetent doctor, and the other new characters is the talented doctor with no people/admin skills, and both of them had their one single character flaw fixed by the other characters after being completely one note up until then.  Similarly, Akalitus was given nothing but "suddenly incredibly

A few interesting recommendations, but no one clicking on an article about good foreign TV is looking to be told about Fanny and Alexander or Berlin Alexanderplatz.

Oh, this show has my full confidence, particularly since I don't think they're foolish enough to make S2 the "WAAAALT/Where are my dragons!" type mess that SoA season 3 became.  I just had the same negative response to the over the top use of slow-motion.  Maslany's good enough to sell the scene without needing to

An almost identical moment in Sons of Anarchy marked the point between the show being really good and being mediocre, so I very much shared your concern about that.

She was one of my favourite parts of the show, and I'm sad to see her killed off, but it's also the right choice given that she's too unstable to ever "join the team" fully and there are only so many times they can use her as a threat without undermining the plausibility of her and Sarah's actions.  I'm not convinced

It seems so wrong hearing that voice coming from Felix's face.

First they came for the sanctity of Random Roles, but I did not speak out because I was not a Random Role…

This, especially in the times where she's either just starting to impersonate Beth or when she's surprised so much that her accent slips a little and you hear a bit of Sarah slip through.  Particularly impressive given that that's not Maslany's accent, so she's just letting the slightest hints creep out

They definitely make good use of the setting, and maybe that's what I like about the show - the setting necessitates so much outdoor/location shooting and the cases are small scale enough that it seems a more real/lived in world, even if it rarely rises above procedural competence.

I can't disagree with any of the complaints in the review, but I still find this show oddly compelling.

Some of us in the humanities have read our Donna Haraway and also have enough exposure to the concepts to suss out what hollow bullshit that sequence was.

And calling Cosima Platonic because she has glasses kind of runs counter to my (admittedly limited) exposure to Plato.  Wouldn't glasses *disqualify* someone from being considered even close to the Platonic ideal form?

Those underwear are the worst. I think it'd be less gross if he were just nude below the waist given how terrible those look.

And Delphine literally said "brave new world" in case anyone was slow to catch on.

You can tell Delphine is lying and Cosima's monitor, because there's no fucking way that department has a dollar left to fund TA positions with.

I think the conspiracy/sci-fi plot is going to be terrible - particularly if that lecture was any indication - but I'll be watching every episode of this just to see what Maslany can pull off.
