The only problem I have with people trashing on the use of "literally" in a sentence is that no ever claims that using "figuratively" is the correct usage, even when it's true.  No one is every going to scream "I am figuratively madder than I've ever been!"

I'm not talking about History, I'm talking about Biography.  Should America have entered WW II sooner, later or not at all?  That's History.  Was FDR in a wheelchair, did he have a mistress?  That's Biography.  I'm talking about all the movies made about actual people, using their real names, which simply do not match

I'm not so much talking about non-traditional approaches but entirely changing the life story of the subject.  Some times it's sexual, where they feel the audience might not like the person as much.  Othertimes they completely change the story until it really is practically fiction but they are still using the name of

My rule of thumb is as follows.  The more people a biography profiles (and this is especially true of biographical movies) the more likely it is to be accurate.  The good and the bad of an entire nation or empire tend to cancel each other out until you get some kind of historical average.  Maybe it's not true of

I liked Monti and I like Bri.  They both have that whole Mrs. Kotter thing going on.  If I remember correctly Monti's sone was named Danger - so that could be it.

I was hoping that right after Ramsay said they wouldn't have to kill the birds they cut to one of them with a dead bird in their arms.  "Uh … chef … ?"

Deen is grandmothered in.  No one found out about her attitudes for years, just her love of artery clogging ingredients.

I cannot for the life of me remember when everyone found out Nibbler could talk.  But when did he tell them he was on Earth to force Fry into the chamber?

@WrongSirWrong:disqus  The real problem with the plot of Looper is, if they can send someone to a specific time and place years earlier, why hire people for lots and lots money to kill them.  When not just send them hundreds of miles out to sea or 10,000 years back.  That's what destroys that film.

I never put it together that she was in Heavenly Creatures.  She's changed a lot  - for the better.

Here's a clue to when you know it's going to suck.  When someone says "Let's remake The Lone Ranger and cast Johnny Depp as Tonto."  Someone tell me they are surprised by how that turned out.

That will be disappointing.  Shouldn't at least one of these elimination shows in which the one winner takes all be based on the Highlander model?

Do NOT bring up Petticoat Junction as an example of a decent show!  Three young women swimming nude in the water tower (with the dog no less).  I was actually shocked, years after the show was on, when I found out that the Shady Rest wasn't a brothel, what with the elderly madam and "Uncle Joe" who was (no surprise)

On the contrary @avclub-3521a3a5bcfea0fe1189f8bc13af1f99:disqus   It's real life that doesn't have to make sense because things are what they are.  Why are two people together?  Why does a person go to one place rather than another?  It may not make sense, but it is what it is.

Any of these shows, like Hell's Kitchen and Chopped, have the "confessional" interviews that can't be happening live.  They must put them in front of a camera and say "If you lose, how will you feel", "now, if you win, how will you feel".  "Now tell us how you feel about every other contestant."

Looked more like thousands

The same back and forth to a tie is always seen in the Hell's Kitchen challenges.  It's never 4 to 1 or 6 to 2.  Always back and forth blue, red, blue, red, maybe two in a row but it always seems to be a tie and then someone wins.

I'm glad Bri is back as well.  I always root for Mrs. Kotter.

Many years ago David Letterman had a bit where he went on the roof and tossed dozens of dozens of eggs to the sidewalk below.  Before he destroyed all that food, he looked into the camera and said "You know, this is why they hate us."  The waste and destruction on this show is why they hate us.  This episode they

At least it wasn't "To be continued"
