Also - as has been pointed out since the beginning of crime stories - the police (especially the homicide squad) don't prevent murders.  They just clean up the mess afterward.

thank you!  Waiting for the beach the whole episode!

I watched it and it was okay.  But the real problem was Kate Mulgrew - I've hated her in everything I've seen her in - Voyager, Mrs. Columbo, Remo Williams, Warehouse 13.  Not that any of those were classics or would have been without her.  She was in them and I didn't like her.

Hell, yeah.  I saw things as a kid i the 50's they wouldn't let me watch now as an adult.  No ratings, no rules, only warnings that you could die watching the film (but they'd pay for your funeral).

I prefer Sorceror because it was more accessible.  I found the original too French for my taste.  When guys blow up you should understand it, not a puff of wind on tobacco.

Spiffing isn't the word.  One of the movies I would love to see remade from scratch.  Man defeats Satan with flashlight on a stick?  I finally read the book and there's a story there.  Also, remember the days when Ian McKellan was not yet a mega-star?

This is a real thing?  I thought they made up something absurd for comedic purposes.  The kids are struggling to learn fractions and cursive and they expect some kid to keep a running narrative of day to day life at the school?

And now her sitcom has been cancelled.  Do we now tell her it's not her, but us?

An interesting entry into the 60's & 70's rule of television.  Italian American actors (i.e. Frank DeKova) play Native Americans and Jews (of non-Italian descent) (Newman, Peter Falk) play Italian-Americans.

Same question people ask about the ending of Thelma & Louise.  Why didn't they just get a lawyer?

I thought it was David "meet your new female star - yes, I got married" Mamet

Not necessarily either/or.  They could both be dangerous lunatics.

the only thing I really remember about this movie was that they let the target vehicle roam through the French countryside, only to ambush it at a stop light in a town in front of a hundred witnesses with access to phones.  People make fun of France as "surrender monkeys" but I'm pretty sure they've got one of the

I did not remember that election, but let's be fair.  Anything that requires an elementary school student to do something like that over four years without periodic checkups is doomed to failure.

Something is definitely wrong with the world we live in now, but I'm still not taking a pill handed to me by a perfect stranger in an abandoned building.

Which is supposed to be the depressing one?  Which one had more children being killed?

They yell because they are children and are very exuberant.  The best part of them yelling is when they first come to the house and the younger sister follows the older one step behind, opening and closing doors and yelling up the dark stairway.

A lot of the choices for dialogue and voices in Howl are confusing.  I tried watching it in Japanese (which I do not understand) and read the subtitles - unfortunately often white on white.  I watched the English dubbed version with and without CC.  They are like three different movies at times - and would probably be

Which is what made the original version of Blade Runner so interesting.  It was like 40's noir in the future.

Anyone asks you that, kick them in the nuts.  REAL!
