What is interesting about Peter Graves getting the role is that he starred in a show that never made it past three pilot episodes. It really seemed more like a call back to the classic radio show "Light's Out".  Stephen King wrote about it in his non-fiction book on horror "Danse Macabre".  They  had an episode called "Painless Dentistry" where a big strong guy with a terror of dentists goes to one who advertises just that.  Then the dentist…

I have no interest in watching this show because it violates my rule about avoiding shows where they obviously came up with the name first and then figured out what the show should be.  And yes, that includes Grey's Anatomy.

To me the most chilling (no un-pun intended) is the opening where the landlady is babbling about the situation only to stop at "And that's why we're … " and Sterling Serling (move along nothing to see here) comes in to say the word she can't get herself to say is "doomed", "That's why we're doomed."

Maybe a flash forward to her future working at a giant network.
