That's the way they made movies.  They cut the sex down to a suggestion then nudge the audience in the ribs saying "Hey, you know what we mean."

I never understood Streetcar.  Everyone hates Blanche and then she goes insane and is taken away.  All I got out of it was she wasn't young and she wasn't a virgin.  Is that the problem?  I mean Karl Malden rags on her because she isn't a kid?
