Excellent point - absolutely none of this makes any sense what so frigging ever. Oh TGW - what has happened to you?

I'm racking my brain trying to come up with a comparable situation in either tv or film where two leads couldn't stand each other to such a degree that the scenes between them have to be filmed separately and then spliced together. I'm drawing a blank. And yes, this is shockingly unprofessional.
I'm not interested in the "Alicia Florrick Lone Crusader" show - which is what the show has morphed into during the second half of season 6. I'm not disputing that it is possible to make a show about one character fascinating and watchable but the forte of TGW has been its ensemble and the multiple stories it…
It'll be interesting to see how everyone will respond to Juliette's inevitable redemption/decontamination plotline. A lot of people who're gleefully anticipating her impending death because they loathe the character she plays (even prior to her dark turn) will be disappointed: it doesn't appear that Tulloch is going…
The Kalinda/Alicia flashbacks (where they are in the same shot): yup, definitely old footage, Margulies is a different, healthier weight in those shots - quite noticeably so. 2nd set of flashbacks: they are not in the same shot, this has been cut together in the editing room.
Sidenote: Do not care for the cap. JM looks like an old lady with that thing (nothing against old ladies, I'm one myself, but cor blimey Julianna Margulies is too young for that foolishness).
Thank you, Kayla - that was a thoughtful review and you raised a couple of good points.
He's one sick sick puppy.
You and me both, baby.
I agree, with reservations - if the writing were better, if they discovered a new energy, a new spark but they haven't. Moving most of the focus on Alicia really isn't working - her personality isn't cut out for this.
The downtrend in quality continues. Once appointment television I can barely tolerate TGW these days. Let's face it, the show has never recovered from the loss of Josh Charles. While the death of his character spawned a couple of terrific episodes in the long run the absence of Josh Charles's energy, impact and…
Yes. And ew.
They don't know what to do with Juliette - remember season 2 and the amnesia plot… it was terrible. And that's besides Bitsie Tulloch's sometimes unusual (ahem) acting choices. Having said that I did like the delivery of the line "I'm losing myself" - wish they'd gone more in that direction to give it some emotional…
Based on your comment I just re-watched the ending which is a replay of his aunt's warning to break it off with Juliette (season 1) - after which he picks up the photograph of him and J and stares at it. I took his aunt's warning to mean that in order to protect Juliette he should break up with her - something he at…
It was weird - no lead up to it and no follow-up either. Made no sense whatsoever.
*** he goes on vacation to a nudist colony ***
Bloody hell. Nick’s writing off Juliette awfully fast: She’s a hexenbiest, I’m a Grimm. No, Nick you’re an idiot. Juliette may be all over the place and bloody dangerous but she got into this mess to help you. Man up.
She's still with Salon but she isn't covering TGW.
Line of the night: "Seriously? I was only gone a week."
Obviously the Kings' other projects have had an impact on the current quality of TGW. The only person to maintain that kind of quality whilst showrunning 3 different series was Joss Whedon - and still there were plenty of people who hated season 6+7 Buffy. Not sure if this season of TGW can be saved, let's hope…
