Sob.
It's a great narrative choice but it's quite brutal to watch.
Yeah, that series is… not so good… Particularly occupying a timeslot ahead of TGW really highlights how much it's … not so good.
I was scared shitless. Kalinda - who's deeply loyal if never sexually faithful - would do anything for Cary. I really loved her for this.
That scene with the witness reversing himself on the stand and Cary realising his life is over: Czuchry's face - no dialogue - just the micro expressions on his face doing the job. I agree with Kayla: ACTING. Amazing. Totally amazing.
Yes, it's shocking to see how unaffected by Cary's life and death situation everybody else is - they're all caught up in their own drama and don't really give a fuck. It's massively effective at showing how alone Cary is. Really brilliant.
Bloody hell. That was good. I felt sick watching this. Kalinda facing off against Bishop. Cary processing the horror of his situation. Cary going to prison.
Comedy moment: the fake note about stabbing the PE teacher - wtf Alicia?
Much better make-up on JM this ep - or is that better lighting? Anyway she looked a hell…
Love Louise Lombard. She's awesome. I hope they keep her around for a while.
The writers have no idea what to do with her. It's basically a replay of the neverending pregnancy plot from the previous season.
Season 1 Ward was the blandest, woodenest (is that a word - never mind) character but Ward as a sociopath is really attractive… oh dear god, what is wrong with me?
I hope so. It's such a fucked up family it's worth mining in some detail.
I'd totally forgotten that Kyle MacLachlan can act (possibly due to Showgirls incurred viewing damage - that film was so bleeding awful it wasn't even good. That scene in the swimming pool. Shudder). He was amazing.
I like the direction they're taking Ward's character. Sociopathic evil bastard who genuinely cares about Skye. All of a sudden Ward is fantastically watchable.
Oh come on: he's offing his duplicitous bro and the parents… that's momentous. We need a bit more than a passing reference via tv.
You managed to get through season 1 - congrats, I gave up after ep 11 of season 1. There are only so many flashbacks that a person can cope with.
BEST SHOW EVER.
Really good ep except for glossing over Ward killing his bro and parentals. Which we heard about secondhand… what the eff? I feel cheated.
She was like that all the time - we just didn't see it. JM's fantastic work notwithstanding, I agree, it is disheartening. I still find it watchable - the writing keeps it up there for me - but yeah, I don't really want to root for Alicia anymore.
A new low: I was referring to Peter's affair with Ramona while Alicia was pregnant.
The current sex with Ramona is dumb - or rather why don't they make more of an effort to be discreet. Doesn't anybody shut their curtains anymore, for gawd's sake.
