Having watched Rachel Maddow's town hall last night in Flint, MI - Rick Synder needs more than a paddlin'. He and the Flint emergency manager that approve the whole debacle should be forced to publicly bathe in the corrosive, lead-infested gunk … then come the subpoenas, indictments, etc.

I think she was also the female love interest opposite Queen Latifah in the Bessie Smith biopic for HBO. Not a huge role, but she had a couple of good, meaty scenes.

Ina Garten's slow-roasted lamb using a dutch oven is a thing of beauty (what I did for dinner Sunday). Lebanese garlic paste (tuon) is also a thing of beauty, although I realized that I didn't have canola oil after I started puree-ing the garlic cloves. So, I used olive oil - gives it a fruity, almost sweet flavour.
