I ADORED Darkroom as a kid/teen.

I have friends who love Black Phoenix AlchemyLab, but I can't wrap my olfactory sense around buying scents without trying them first.

The New York Times front page already spoiled me for Sunday's ep. *sigh*

I don't know if I can recognize my family in pop culture.

The things Cookie would do with a wand … the mind reels.

Harry Potter and The Argument for Voting UKIP

I've never seen Rancho Notorious, but there's more than a little of Marlene Dietrich's character from Destry Rides Again in Lili Von Schtupp.

Recommending LOEG? That's a paddlin' …

Not a fan of the X-Files? They did a MotW involving a chicken processing plant, line psychosis (or so they thought), and the anti-Colonel Sanders. Good times.

Um, what happened to their feet?

Van Helsing isn't quite the worst movie I've ever seen, but that's only because my Minty Fresh Geek tricked me into seeing Battlefield Earth.

That's why the suggestion was evil. My apologies.

I'm going to be evil and ask … have you checked TV Tropes?

Part of me is thinking that big, bushy tails are not optimal in enclosed places that happen to be on fire.

Some good news I didn't post in the daytime (i.e. at work): I have a Skype interview next week for an academic library position dealing with open access! Will start studying up on the university and its library and their offerings starting tomorrow (also submitted two more applications for academic libraries).

The movies Death Takes a Holiday (with Frederic March) and Meet Joe Black (semi-remake with Brad Pitt) both have Death becoming human and falling in love with a mortal woman. I don't remember if their mortalities are actually on the line in either movie, though.

*laughs* That's a lot of glistening. Cool!

*hug*

That sounds awesome. I wish you much success - and let us know when you get published!

Already quite amused.
