I really could have taken a lot more ambiguity in the last 100 pages of "Ghost Story," the last 200 really.
But even before the exposition dump, I rarely found the book scary. Some of "Ghost Story's" descriptions reminded me of H.P. Lovecraft, that whole "it was such a scary sight, it could drive one mad" approach.
