It didn't make sense, but Morgan and Danny were so excited that Peter was there, they didn't care. Besides, Danny is not tech-savvy enough to understand that wi-fi being down doesn't mean Peter should need to borrow his computer.

I was impressed that Dre was able to identify all the white presidents! He even knew which one was John Adams and which was John Quincy Adams.

It was weird how he knew all their addresses and went to all their houses, but whatever — it allowed the plot to keep going and didn't bother me. I was surprised,…
The one problem I had with that was that this was her dream career move for all of 24 hours. She apparently didn't know about the fellowship when Jean told her about it, initially said she wasn't interested because she would rather stay with Danny, and then the next day was in tears because her recommendation didn't…
Have they established that? I thought he lived nearby but dropped by a lot. It doesn't seem like he actually has a room in their house.
The whole plot, with the easy resolution of Jeremy faking the new diary, was so silly that I just accepted the Danny-worshipping tone of the diary as part of the silliness.
They're getting a lot of mileage out of the diary. It was a smart way to put pressure on Danny without having Mindy give an ultimatum.
I also liked how both arcs showed Dre undercutting the family togetherness that he wanted so much. It reminded me of the pilot, where Dre wants so badly for his family to be "more black" that he ends up pushing them too far.
