It's not that I stop caring, it's just that I get distracted. I got through 3.5 seasons of Breaking bad this January and February, but then I had to move, didn't have reliable internet for a while, the NBA playoffs happened, so on and so forth. I can't get back into a serialized drama unless I block off the time.

Big Bang Theory reruns are probably on at least three different basic cable channels at any given time. You can't hide.

It was funny the first few dozen times, but it feels like they've been using it for at least five years now.

I don't have much to say about the article, but they play this song at least four times a day where I work, and yes, it's awful.

I mean, the Grammys are literally awarded by the RIAA, so I could see how they'd be loath to reward someone who operates outside their cartel.

I'm not really an expert on early jazz subgenres but I've always had a soft spot for SNZ because they sounded more energetic and sloppy and had more varied instrumentation than Cherry Poppin Daddies et al. And they have a young Andrew Bird on like half the songs.

Still taking a while for some of slower songs to sink in, but No Problem, Blessings, Angels (how did I miss this one when it first came out?), All Night are all amazing.

YOU DON'T WANT ZERO PROBLEMS BIG FELLA

I remember my girlfriend at the time trying to get me into Aeroplane around 2010. Couldn't make it past Jeysusss Charisttt. Finally gave them another chance after the reunion tour was announced, got hooked right away, put the album on repeat, learned most of the songs on guitar, saw them twice during that last year.

I was there! I wish I uhh, remembered it a little better, but I know I had a blast yelling along to Two-Headed Boy.

Heineken?

Plenty of people who were at an impressionable when say, Garden State came out, are still well under 30.

I live in Iowa and I've never heard of this venue before. Looks to be a barn in the middle of nowhere with a really good booking agent.

It's great in an airdrum-in-the-car kind of way. I crank it up every time I hear it when I'm driving. Those lyrics though. . . .

But if you order it at an italian-American restaurant you're probably going to end up paying $15 for Bacon Alfredo instead of the real thing.

I enjoyed this the first few listens. Think it'll take a few more listens to sink in, but I loved the upbeat nihilism on New Saint Jude. Valley of the Young is excellent too; not ready to have kids myself but it hits home with all the people I know that are new parents.

Kinda a weird backhanded compliment about Andrew Bird's sound. I mean the violin and whistling and obscured lyrics are constant, but he shows a lot of range album-to-album. He was going through a more folksy phase the last five years or so, but Capsized sounds like something off of Apocrypha, a little more electric.

There were a lot of people in the room for those Fantasy sessions. I wouldn't be surprised if he had some help with some of the better verses. Not saying that to diss, but to my ears Pablo is what happens when he's left to his own devices.

Did you like the show? I saw them on Friday. The vibe was kinda weird, place was packed full of people who still hadn't gotten around to listening to TMLT I guess, but they sounded great.

There's a DJ around here that goes by DJ DJ Tanner. Not familiar with them, but I get a chuckle anytime I see the name on a poster.
