The X-Men have varying degrees of difficulty here, where the hot-as-balls human-looking mutants are all heroes, but the freaks are 50/50. There's certainly something to be read into that.

Budding friends just dishing about their love lives during superhuman spy missions? I'd watch the fuck out of that.

She's not wrong.

God-willing.

Mack's straight man reactions to all the insanity on this show is why he's so damn necessary to stick around.

The FitzSimmons scene at the end was very cute and admirable for how understated it was. They could have had a rising string orchestra and such, but it was played like old friends with a new attraction, very casual and fun.

I know that I'll never get the FitzMack I wanted all last season, but Yoyo is pretty great, and I already love Mack. Approved.

I love how (understandably) wary they are of SHIELD, like, "Hey, who are these paranoid bastards?"

SHIELD's worst offense was cock-blocking Joey. Not cool, SHIELD.

That was legitimately great. Once I realized we were doing a The Thing "which one is the alien parasite," I realized I didn't want it to be any of them (well, Lincoln, whatever). I was shocked it was Daisy. That was twisty and fun.

Oh, hey, it's you.

Unless there's some reveal coming down the line, it feels like the writers are scrambling to make sense of the Zoom plot, which is weird for something that's been brewing since the beginning of the season.

I laughed out loud. Thank you, sir.

We'll come for his free speech in due time, but first we have to deal with that fucking outfit.

I really hope this gets renewed. I'm not sure where it fits in the wider bland-o-sphere of CBS, but Supergirl stands out as a neat, hopeful-to-a-fault slice of superhero fiction on network television. Clinton and Sanders should be offering free viewings to post-BvS victims as part of their platforms.

Good God, Jennifer. Fire your fucking agent.

Christ, I was a teenager when this happened.

At least four.

I was hoping we'd get at least a second season of Jessica Jones before The Defenders.

*sigh*
