Was this the most characters Hartman ever played in an ep? The announcer on the Duff Gardens ads (arguably Troy McC), in Yentl (even less likely Troy) and I'm pretty sure the security guard who finds Lisa in the Fermentarium, and of course Troy & Lionel.

I'd tend to agree with @avclub-b7784c8bc13cfa7214f249fef97abfe9:disqus on the other thread, that this is a lousy way of covering your tracks. It is possible that he wants the waitress to spread his new description to whomever might be looking for the Volvo (the rest of the meeting seemed designed to leave no cause for

Would make the whole bacon moment that much sadder, since Skyler giving him the fake bacon "50" in the pilot was our first signal that Walt was whipped.

I think apart from the secret illegal Cayman bank account (Oh, crap. I
shouldn't have said it was a secret… Oh, crap! I certainly shouldn't
have said it was illegal!), the scene was meant as a misdirect. "The cops are just looking at obvious physical damage, they haven't even figured out the scheme was about erasing

Yeah, the reasonable expectation would be that we get to the flash forward near the end of the current 8 eps or the series finale. But as you point out, this show loves upsetting expectations. So the finale's probably going to end with everything seemingly all tied up - the day before Walt's 52nd birthday.

Batman's a scientist.

Did I also detect a note of retroactive fear from Walt at the thought of Hank using Walt Jr. in a game of cat & mouse with a guy who threatened to kill his whole family?

Another echo of Gus in the weapon delivery car - a Volvo.

I know what you're saying about it being too heist movie-y, but Sepinwall's review makes some good points about how they just can't keep the show ramped up to "Face Off" level all the time, and this episode showcasing "New Walt" by showing just how different the old "Walt & Jesse scramble through a problem" structure
