So, did Walt get a fake ID with his actual birthday on it for some odd reason, or did he just do the bacon thing because hey, he likes a pilot callback as much as the next guy?

My WKRP/real life crossover is in the opposite direction. I grew up watching it syndication, and my first job out of college was at the industry leading music radio scheduling software company. I was working on their not industry leading on-air automation software - essentially a PC based version of the evil MAX

Even if he does live, a prequel might be better, since I don't put very high odds on his not needing to find a new PI by the end of the series.

Nixon's "Oh Mr. Agnew" line was a ref to the much imitated Mr. Gallagher and Mr. Shean vaudeville routine. Though the pair might be best remembered today because Shean was the Marx brothers' s uncle.

Aaah, that one got by me. Still, I really hope they come back round to this alternate future sooner or later.

But at least it gave us the story of Bender crushing humanity. Is it wrong that I was a little disappointed when it looked like they were backing out of that future?

The jokes more than made up for any plot issues. Soylent Majority maybe lasted a beat and a half two long, but was still awesome. Some nice "Bender doing unnecessary things gags" - holding a flashlight in his mouth (his eyes light up, no?) and bending the giraffe for a ladder before just extending his arms. Actually

Well, mst3k usually steered clear of movies with comic intent, but if the ads for this movie are any sign, this might've worked there. The ads just have moments that vaguely resemble jokes, where the audience might be fooled into laughing because, hey, it's a loathsome teddy bear.

Nobody's taken "We all know how that money should, nay, must be spent." I love Bart in orator mode.

I especially love the yelps and cries of the people reaching the top of the escalator.
