Did it bother anyone else when Axe used a metal spoon to put the caviar on the pizza? (Supposedly metal spoons affect the taste of caviar, so they sell spoons made of animal horn or mother-of-pearl specifically for serving caviar.) Am I making a big deal over nothing, or is this a sign of Axe's lower- or middle-class

And this season, after Chuck was forced to sell his prized set of Winston Churchill books, Axe had his people buy up that copy and every other copy available anywhere. A couple of episodes ago, Chuck found out that Axe had done this and that certainly re-ignites the feud between the two.

When Axe entered that room in the Yale Club, Chuck's father was just ending a story with the line, "And she stepped on the billiard ball". That's gotta be a reference to the story told in the movie "Auntie Mame" (where it was a ping-pong ball) and also in the movie Trading Places (also a ping-pong ball).

That whole steal-sand-from-the-beach scene was the stupidest thing. If they could afford to go to Home Depot and buy a bunch of Shop-Vacs, they could afford to go to Home Depot and buy a bunch of playground sand.

Your article says they raised $40 million, but the ABC News article to which you've linked says it's $4 million.

Did anyone else want an explanation of the problem with the water wheel, or was it just me?

The funniest part was when Victor told Joel what Chris had said about basketball becoming more popular than baseball in the future. You could tell that this was the last straw for Joel. "I've taken all I can stand and I can't stand no more. How dare he insult the holy sport of baseball?"

I thought the episode would start by showing the reaction of David Lee and Louis Canning to Diane Lockhart and others moving to Florrick Agos. But they didn't do that? So are they ever going to return to Lockhart Gardner? (And presumably the name of that firm will need to change.)

What didn't work for me is that they kept talking about the operating system that Cameron was writing for the new computer, but originally she was writing a BIOS. And weren't they building an IBM-compatible PC? If so, they wouldn't be writing their own operating system but instead would just license Microsoft's OS

That would sort of mirror Hillary Clinton's story.

I thought the same thing; that this will lead to a merger of the two firms.

I thought he would kill himself. At one point, he looked at the door to the courtroom, as if he was trying to decide if he could make it out. And the ironic thing is that at the end, he was trying to kill himself, but was out of bullets.

I see no way that the firm can survive the revelation of Mike's deception. Every client is going to ask, "If you didn't verify the credentials of one of your own associates, how can I trust that you did a proper job in representing my interests?"

I thought casting Wallace Shawn was a stroke of genius. He's usually such a genial character that it's completely playing against type for him to be the threatening mob lawyer.

Actually, I thought it was going to be Debbie's friend Matt.

I know it's a sitcom, but Axl was being so insufferable and rude that I was waiting for one of his parents to get mad at him. Either literally spank the kid or tell him not to bother coming home for the holidays if he didn't want to spend time with his family. Calling them "you people" was really obnoxious.

I like the short clips at the end of the episodes showing the creator's real-life family. Often they show the inspiration for some scene in the episode. And it's weird in that I recognize certain items in the house. such as the VCR shown in the opening credits. We had that model in my parents' house.

Exactly. I assume that the building was large enough that Florrick, Agos & Associates weren't going to be the only tenants, so wouldn't the existing tenants be up in arms about being forced out of their offices for two months?

Last week, they referred to Peter as "governor-elect" but this week they called him "governor". So has the inauguration already occurred? I expected that to be a highlight episode, with a scene at the inaugural ball.

Last week, David Lee arranged for the building in which the new firm was going to have its offices shutdown because of a supposed vermin infestation. One of the associates said that the building would be shut down for two months. That seems like a crazy long time, especially since presumably there are other, existing
