Season 2 is better. I'm sorry that Patti LuPone was only on for one episode. She was AWESOME! The Night Comers was definitely my favorite episode of both seasons so far.

They can scapegoat Roper for all they want as far as I'm concerned. I would like to see him gone. I don't think he adds that much and he's a foul creature.

They have almost all but abandoned the waxworks arc but I bet it's coming back!

You mentioned the wax guy. I thought the recent scene with the blind girl was inconsistent. In Season 1, when she met Clare, she asked to feel his face, which she did. Nothing there about it being cold to the point of lifelessness. Then in recent scene his "cold, lifeless" hand scares her.

Someone's comparison to Gollum (of the Rings) was good. Overall, not impressed with portrait but loved it when he snarled at Dorian when he kills Angelique.
