"What Was Missing" grows on you. It's insane. When I first watched it I kind of mehed it away but after the revelation that Marcy and PB had a lesbian relationship that PB ended and after listening to "What Am I To You?" a few too many times it won me over.

I want to see more of Marceline and PB's lesbian relationship, dammit.

@avclub-3f045a0e66373bfbdf36eeedd4ab3509:disqus That's the point of the movie. Read the books.

@avclub-7b3cb4472d233eceefe071eaca5ae664:disqus It's pretty clear at this point that Jake is Jay T. Dawgzone.

Adventure Time is thick with influences and mythology you gotta give some people a pass for missing some. I've never seen the Star Trek episode, but now I really want to, so good work, AT!

Didn't it lick him?

Since the Cosmic Owl can visit Prismo and he can visit dreams I'm assuming they're implying dreams are universes themselves. This made me really wanna watch Waking Life and learn how to lucid dream again.

"I mean, he's a dirtbag born out of a mother, but who's not?"

It was very Ozian though. There are ragdoll people living in some part of Oz, and the idea of traveling to a weird realm and vanquishing the evil there immediately is incredibly Ozian as well.

Yeah, why did you all not like it anyway?

Adventure Time has never strayed away from straight up philosophical discussion. That's what this episode was. Haven't you ever had a really epic/long dream you woke up and thought deeply about, but then after you went back to sleep and woke up in the morning you couldn't remember any of it? It's a part of being a

Some psychologists theorize that dreams are your subconscious' way of working out complex problems in your daily life while your body rests. I think this was a great example of that. But with AT's mythology I do think the world was a little more than real. The point is Finn died. He was dead. The pillow people

Jay has to be named after "Jay T. Dawgzone". Will Finn ever learn?

Troy and Abed are so jealous of Finn and Jake's pillow fort.

I think it's because he's destined to lose his arm. No matter what universe he is in. He will lose his arm.

I love how they keep spelling it out for him that he's going to eventually lose his arm, but he never gets any of the hints. But we do! We dooo!

I lost it on that part too. He looked like a Johnny Test or Bobby's World character.

Man, I read an interview recently where Pendleton talked about being worried about hitting a five season slump. Considering the fact that they have been working almost nonstop since 2010 (or at the very least, with shorter hiatuses than most shows) I can understand that worry. But the fact that they can roll out such

I dunno, now that Samantha is gone Patricia is one of the few designers left with a solid, interesting point of view. The other designers may have them (Richard and Daniel, for instance), but they're dated and boring. I could see Patricia making it on creative gas alone to the final three, though I'm betting on
