And there's a concept band about the Leonine Kings!

Oh y'know: jus' keep on pluggin' away, doin' a good job. One o' these days, we'll give you the real money. The money we know you deserrrve…

I'd like to say that "it's so rare that you're offered such an intellectual dilemma as this; being asked to both somewhat admire a vaguely principled stand taken by a band that is so fucking awful you wonder at times if someone somewhere lost a bet, and also to note that the creator of a show that is pretty damn good

Supposed to not read what am I?

Everybody Loves An Exception
Country at least had to have one Charley Pride. So that way they could play down the actual bigotry that does indeed exist in a lotta that stuff.

I'm sorry; that didn't make any sense.
I too had a toy space shuttle. The name on the side was 'Enterprise.'
In real life, the space shuttle enterprise was the first one to be built, but never actually went to space. It was later dismantled, with various parts being used in later shuttles.

I did. It was the Enterprise, which I'm not sure ever flew any actual missions. It seems to have been parted-out, largely.

"A drawing of Darren McGavin, in…"

It was Michael, and the line was almost certainly "Your tie looks ridiculous."

The magic of gravity in action, those toilets.
Just to be redundant here, what I don't get is Tessio calling those toilets "old fashioned," because I believe they would have just been "the way your average toilet in 1946 looks."

Failed one-man-cultsies!

I've always thought the "Dad?" line is actually directed at Francis Ford Coppola.
And the next line -edited out- is, "line?"

Oh really, have none of you watched 'The Warriors'?

Jesus Freakin' Pancakes, that was fucked up. What they're playing in the background at first -over Screamin' Jay- was their cover of "Four Sticks," which never failed to get a laugh at parties in the '90's.

True enough that not all of that roster rocked the roost. I love Uncle Wiggly and When People Were Shorter And Lived Near Water, though. Also; Ween's first two albums and Beck's first album were on Shimmy Disc.

Hi, I'm back. Mme. Cyborg, 'Look Around You' was a British show that Comedy Central (or was it Cartoon Network?) had on for a while, usually at one in the morning or something. I first heard about it on the AV Club.

Love, love "Hendrix Buried In Tacoma" and their cover of "Instant Karma" from Shockabilly's 'Heaven' album.

And of course Evergreen State College, right there in OlyWa where the band really got its start, was famous for almost officially renaming their seminars "ovulars."

I think she's trying to look serious. Instead she kinda just looks constipated.

The feminist bookstore sketch was accurate, yes, but not actually funny.
