Personal, unpopular opinion: I personally like Art School Confidential quite a bit. I always felt it was underrated.

That thing became so racist, so quickly, I'm amazed that anybody is taking credit for it

Ah, outrage about drones strikes and enforcing the country's laws (while trying, at the same time to change them!) I'm sure that I'm going to miss this bullshit in a few years.

Honestly, I loathe the idea of another Synderverse movie. I wish Warners would reboot the whole DC lineup.

I think Brit Marling is a really good actress and an even better writing. So far, all the projects that she has co-written have been consistently original, intelligent and thought-provoking. Looking forward to this

"What the PFRPG rd app lacks in warmth, it makes up for in sheer
usefulness: All the collected material you could ever need to run a
robust Pathfinder campaign for half the cost of the six-pack you drink during an evening gaming with your friends."

I would call it Advanced Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. Basically, by the time D&D got to edition 3.5, it was so bloated and complicated that most people couldn't even so D&D was simplified in editions 4 & 5. Pathfinder is old 3.5 - refined and updated - but still with a billion rules for any billions possible

I too would suggest D&D 5E. While I generally loathe Amazon, if your game store doesn't have the books, try them because they sell it for $ 30. Also, I think Wizards of the Coast still has the free rules online. It will only give you stats for a few classes and races but it's enough to dip your toe

I really like Wes Anderson too (I think H&M is completely evil but that is neither her nor there)

I never will want to check out Lost or Battlestar Galactica ever again but they ended poorly. I began by loving them but I was so soured by the time they finished that I don't think they're really fit the bill.

I agree. Season 6 sucked shit.

I remember watching it, first time around, and thinking Lorelei and Rory were the absolute ideal (and I wasn't young, I was in my 30's) Last year, I rewatched the whole thing and, as human beings, they are horrible.

He appears to be a big deal in the Chicago Tiki scene. I haven't heard of him before (I'm in PDX)

Personally, I thought the first Kung Fu Panda movie was top notch.

My take on it is that Popeye worked on two levels. On one level it was an easily digestible adventure comic about a silly, indestructible sailor who beat up people and, on the other, it was filled with biting satire, clever wordplay, probing metahumor and a deep, continuous creativity.

I live in Portland. Barely anything happened. There was a big protest march, some anarchists (who hadn't actually voted because, anarchists) fucked some shit up (but very little) and that's it. The city is fine. There is no real damage and the city is going on if nothing happened.

Nope. They have been pretty shitty and obstructionist. Your logic that since Trump also calls them shit is proof that the system is rigged and nobody is giving them a fair chance is, at best, specious. It isn't even really logic at all

I'm the largest meat eater that I know. I eat so much. Once, I even ate three large steaks in a row and then ordered a small steak, almost as a dessert.

There were supposedly setting up a sequel back in 2012 but it fell through and, since then, Midler has been not-so-subtly pushing for one. She added 'I Put a Spell on You' to her concerts, and performs it in-character, and she frequently mentions in interviews that her and her castmates are ready to go for a sequel.

It was. The critics hated it and the public avoided it in theaters so it was impossibly cheap for basic cable companies so it was shown all the time. With the TV as a babysitter, kids saw this movie dozens of times and learned to love it even though it is utter shit.
