*ahem*

"No, Calgon sucks."

Nathan For You, "The Hero": *cheerfully covers up "FUCK" graffiti with a paint roller*

Space Chicken even more so.

Yeah, pissing off the prestige-bringing Oscar-winner when he's said he'd be doing nothing but TV in the near future is probably enough of a bad idea that it'll get renewed.

For those who don't know, this film's cinematographer, Anthony Dod Mantle, has worked extensively with Danny Boyle since 28 Days Later, missing only Sunshine and Steve Jobs (and winning an Oscar for Slumdog Millionaire). He's also shot the likes of The Last King of Scotland, Antichrist, Dredd, The Celebration, Dogville

Oh dear god, reading this is giving me flashbacks to "Head". He really needs a collaborator who will outright tell him "Enough with the Southern racism imagery".

Yeah, dumping the critical darling show from the Oscar-winner seems like it would be a bad move for Cinemax to make at this point.

His Yes concert film. And even that feels unfair to single out. My least favorite of his films besides that is Erin Brockovich, and even that's a solid little crowdpleaser (with some hysterically funny facial acting from Albert Finney) that looks amazing.

The Master has PSH's best performance, Joaquin Phoenix's best performance, and is P.T. Anderson's second-best film (behind Magnolia). Check that shit out.

I really liked Nyong'o, but personally, in that category, I would have liked it if Sally Hawkins won. She damn near equaled Cate Blanchett in that movie.

The Knick, "Not Well at All": I love this show.

Since the first digitally-shot winner of the Best Cinematography Oscar (2009), there has been only one winner in the category that was shot (almost) entirely on film, that being Christopher Nolan's Inception. All but two (Slumdog Millionaire, the first digital winner, and Gravity, whose ending was shot on 65mm) of the

It was.

Has it been that long since Noah?

It's the best Marvel movie, and that's the truth, Ruth.

Look up "amazing" in the dictionary. You know what you'll find?

*Werner Herzog gets a screener of The Revenant*

Honestly, González Iñárritu has covered every other kind of misery, so I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to fit bear rape into one of his movies. I bet it was in his BMW short film before it was cut for time/they couldn't find a costume in Clive Owen's size.

So that's why Look of Silence didn't catch on, it should have been called Look.
