*proudly waves flag saying "Irrational Man was really good"*
I only watched the first two episodes of Freak Show, but was it really worse than Coven? Coven made me lose my faith in humanity.
Hmm, his worst movie for me might be Mr. Jealousy, but "worst" seems pretty damning considering I still like it quite a bit.
Your class turning against her "screen presence" makes even less sense, but I admittedly only know her from her more "polished" movies, so I can't speak if she's annoying in Hannah Takes the Stairs or Baghead (she is charming as all fuck in Damsels in Distress and Frances Ha and Greenberg and that shitty rom-com No…
You've told that story before, and I still wish your entire class had been expelled for that. Cheering upon Greta Gerwig's death, even when fictional, is a bootable offense.
Give Margot at the Wedding another try. That is a terrific little movie, and on some days, I might call it my favorite Baumbach film (it's generally in a four-way tie with Kicking and Screaming, Squid and the Whale, and Frances Ha).
I've just started reading the interview and already I think I'm going to die of a charm overdose. Greta Gerwig truly is a national treasure.
Regardless of profit, they should make a Fantastic Four sequel that's just J.K. Simmons shouting at Reed Richards for two hours.
Michael Chiklis and Chris Evans were really good casting that deserved a much better movie to surround them.

I would be, in the parlance of our times, down with this. I'll set up a game.
I always feel like I've accomplished something great when A.A. Dowd likes something I've written, whether a comment, tweet, or Letterboxd review.

Am I the only one who noticed or cared that ROOOOOOOBLES has been upvoting posts today? Has this been a common occurrence that I've missed out on?
Possibly my favorite thing in the movie was how triumphantly Victor jumping over that haystack was treated, so this callback slayed me.
Have you seen any of Jonathan Glazer's other work? If you haven't checked out his small but impeccable collection of music videos, I highly recommend them, and I highly recommend both of his other feature films, Sexy Beast and especially Birth.
Hmm, I don't think Wild at Heart necessarily lacks empathy. I think Lynch was genuinely enamored with the main characters, no matter how strangely they act. Now, Lost Highway (the other Lynch-Barry Gifford movie), there is a movie completely and totally lacking in any empathy for any character, and it is amazing.
D) Scrap the whole thing and give the sequel's release date to an adaptation of Infinite Jest.
