I meant the book, not the essay of the same name.

I haven't seen Leaving Las Vegas, so I can't say who was the deserving winner there. I'll probably check it out when/if Criterion releases it (I mean, Mike Figgis seemed adamant they were releasing it, but it's been awhile since that confirmation).
I love Wild at Heart, and am consistently surprised when people bring it up as one of Lynch's worst.
I kind of surprised myself by not mentioning the performances in my little capsule. Yes, she's absolutely terrific in it, and Sean Penn is great too, definitely not forcing it like he does with some of his other Serious Dramatic Performances.
Hopefully he stops before this happens…
Dead Man Walking: So many movies pat themselves on the back for being "fair", but here's a movie that's genuinely, completely fair to everyone, not making anyone a straw-man "boo hiss" villain (the people the movie could have demonized, the parents of the deceased, really don't do a single bad thing, or a thing that…
As a fan of Rooney Mara who hasn't watched the original, I couldn't be more disappointed.
Don't cry for me, @ApathyMonger:disqus, the truth is I'm actually a masochist.
And The Whispers, which I'll now have to watch out of Romanek completionism.

As someone who's fascinated by the world of music videos, Videosyncrazy being alive is great news! As someone who wants as much David Fincher as possible, Utopia being dead is terrible news.
I wish she was here so we could celebrate Wisdom Teeth being remastered in high-definition together.
Wow, it's been 11 days since she's last commented.
And it will be available next week on good old fashioned Digital Versatile Disc and Blu-Ray.
The Knick is on the same channel…
Josh Trank is going to be a Michael Cimino-level pariah in about a month's time. I can't help but feel bad for the guy.
Damn, Ben Davis has apparently become Marvel's house DoP. It sounds like he's going back to the really interesting colors of GotG as opposed to the dully-shot shades of grey in Age of Ultron, so that sounds cool.
Wisdom Teeth will now be added to the Don Hertzfeldt Blu-Ray.
I didn't know I wanted that until now, so thanks.
