Now we just need to survive through a few self-contained "Premise In A Can" episodes meant to squeeze as many new viewers in as possible. There's also the fact that conventions and tropes ARE Whedon's language. I mean tvtropes was born out of a buffy forum for crying out loud. Watching Whedon pilots is like watching someone build a foundation out of legos. It might look like a giant square of nothing now, but just wait and see what he builds from it.
