It's pretty hard to get over a break up a musical partnership that had seen so much success. The best you can hope for is to release some reasonably well received solo material, then some less popular stuff, and then follow that up with a revolutionary album that exposes an existing musical style to a broader audience.

I'm hesitant to agree
Once you find a good guitarist to work with, he becomes a fundamental part of the process. When I brought Ray Phiri on for Graceland, he become such a joy to have in the studio, that I had to bring him back for Rhythm of The Saints.

Of course I have much respect for the 'Baz.

When I married Carrie Fisher, I was hoping for a low-key Alderan-Princess type, but I ended up with a Hutt-strangling Sister of a Jedi, so the marriage ended pretty soon. I was able to get over this by discovering the beautiful marriage of Ladysmith Black Mombaza with my folk-rock stylings.
