Let me rephrase: this album sounds like a big ripoff of a vastly superior album by a vastly superior band. Distractingly so. I luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuv MPP.

On the contrary, I loved MPP. Fight Softly is a good album, but literally every song made me think of Animal Collective, enough that I couldn't get into it.
