I will note that Chase was far less of a douche on this 1977 Johnny Carson episode than any other time, ever.

Pryor was recently divorced and he and Carson commiserated about California divorces. Both Chase and Pryor had TV specials on NBC the next night (May 1977). Chase said he'd seen Pryor's and it was great, Carson asked if Pryor had seen Chase's, to which he replied "No, I don't like Chevy." It was said as a joke, but

Life is a long lesson in humility. – J. M. Barrie (9 May 1860 – 19 June 1937)

That guy was memorable. An old lady touching my face. The whispering child. No wonder people believe in ghosts/incubi/aliens.

Richard Pryor is on the Johnny Carson being shown now on AntennaTV; Chevy Chase is on right now, Pryor later on.

It didn't fly, so I couldn't tell ya if it's legs just sorta hung there.

One of my most memorable sleep paralysis incidents, about seven years ago, involved a man-panther that jumped onto my legs - an actual physical sensation. That guy in the picture, Black Panther, looks just like that creature.

When Son of Isis was fixing his tire, his bike's chain broke. After Son got a Sprite and some Advil from us, Osiris is driving him to famous restaurant right now. So I got a Mother's Day hug in the deal.

I just wish the world was twice as big and half of it was still unexplored. - Sir David Attenborough (born 8 May 1926)

Again, Puzzlemaster Will Shortz did not call me. Curse you, Puzzlemaster! This week's answer was “gateway” and “getaway”.

When we went to see "Cabaret" at The Saenger last month, Osiris noted that we were sitting in more or less the same section we sat when we saw "that Seinfeld guy." Took me a second, though.

I saw O'Hurley as Billy Flynn in "Chicago" a couple years ago. He was quite good, in a so-so production. He's so handsome!

Meow!

Someone's going to make you see it?

Yeah. Blake. I've seen the other Workaholics on "Modern Family" (Anders in a guest spot, Adam as Andy), but this is the first time I've seen Blake on something else.

Losing an illusion makes you wiser than finding a truth. - Ludwig Börne (6 May 1786 – 12 February 1837)

It was not a good episode. Osiris and I saw "Cabaret" last month, though (the current tour is really good), so we laughed at that line.
