The best part of the Corin Tucker song is her yelling "what's up, ya'll?!" Can't wait to hear the rest of the album. I really enjoyed her first one, but I'm looking forward to something with a little more punch.

That's what I love about this show: it will go from a philosophical character moment to something utterly surreal/absurd. My favorite example of this is from last season when him and Pamela Adlon are looking at an apartment and he looks out the window at a homeless man. A black sedan pulls up, two guys in suits and

None More Black: "You Suck! (But Your Peanut Butter Is Okay)," "Who Crosses State Lines Without a Shirt?," "The Ratio of People To Cake"
The Dopamines: "My Future's So Bright I Gotta Wear Night-Vision Goggles, "You'd Make a Good Horsecop," "It Really Couldn't Be Any Other (We'll Fuck You Like Superman)"

You left out my favorite Dillinger Four title: "SELLTHEHOUSESELLTHECARSELLTHEKIDSFINDSOMONEELSEFORGETITI'MNEVERCOMINGBACKFORGETIT." Took me a while to discover it was an Apocalypse Now reference.

And yet you managed to leave out their best (and my favorite song title of all time): "Cliche Guevara."

The whole "bury them with information" storyline definitely came from The Thick Of It. One of the few jokes/storylines I've noticed that came directly from that show, which is a good thing.

Could not disagree more. This at least an A- album for me, and a fine return to form. "Paid In Full" alone is worth the price of admission.

Perfect episode. A contender for the best ever, IMO. I'm absolutely beside myself with the idea of Andy becoming a police officer next season.

I still think this show and the characters are hilarious, but I'm definitely ready for the election storyline to be over. So many of the episodes follow the same formula: Gain in the polls —> Big gaffe of some kind —> Barkley tries to screw them over —> Everything works out in the end. Like I said, I still love the

Sleater-Kinney: I'd heard one song of theirs ("Off With Your Head"), which was a pretty straight-forward punk-ish rock song. I thought "hey, that's pretty cool." Then I heard The Woods for the first time and got my head blown off by this squall of feedback, distortion, and piercing vocals. Once I got over the initial

Merrymakers is, no shit, probably one of my top 5 albums of the 90s. Incredibly underrated.

Anna Chlumsky's "shit" rant in the limo almost had me in tears. I was worried about how this would work as an Americanized version, but it's fantastic. Also, I find it a little easier to follow than The Thick of It simply because, as an American, I find the structure of the British government baffling.
