The last 10 minutes or so did a very efficient job of showing Card to be as sleazy as possible.

I liked this episode - especially the Fi plot - but is this story arc a downgrade from the preceding one? From CIA redemption to finding his brother's killer? Unless there's something to surprise us, this would appear to take the premise of this series in a whole different direction.

This episode certainly moved a lot of plot points forward, which made it more exciting than usual. However, I don't think you can negotiate a disbarment as part of a negotiation. If something unethical was done, it would have to be reported to the state bar association and they would decide what happens. But…

That seems to be an overbroad statement. High schools that have swimming teams at all tend to be upper crust, but so what? The resentment reeks of unfounded jealousy. I managed to root for swimmers that had a different experience in high school than I.

I agree that the poker subplot is passed its expiration date, but the hands and strategies at least were minimal in this episode. Yes, the royal-beats-full house bit was cliche, and I didn't catch that the bet was in the middle of the hand, but if that's so, I agree - that clangs out loudly to anyone with casino…

I'm on board with this. This was packaged as the "must see" episode, and it did very well balancing all three plots.

No surprise that the Sun would be such an egomaniac as to refer to himself in the third person.

This music has been mixed to be played loud, so turn it up.

I liked this episode, but a little less than the B+ rating. I know to suspend some disbelief about reality in these dramas, but the scene where the Dad is desperately looking to fight somebody to clear his bonus in Game 7 - and the crowd all stops as well - was a bit much. It only made the scene look smaller in…

I haven't seen these episodes in a while (I remember generally enjoying them at the time), but I can see where the reviewer, looking at the episodes in today's context, can find some things lacking. In 1997-98, there wasn't any Adult Swim, no internet like we have today, and the unique asset the show was putting out…
