I think part of that is in the context of arguing with folk who apparently insist on flawless candidates (and possibly are a bit sexist) and recognizing she—like everyone else—isn't perfect. But it gets tiring.

Why do you think this isn't the real Good Place? The fact that it is affected by Eleanor's (and presumably others') thoughts suggest to me that the place is largely what its inhabitants make of it.
I'm pretty sure Tahani was supposed to see the list, so I agree he probably knows much more than he lets on. Not to mention the couple he chose to live with Chidi and Eleanor.
Maybe I'm too influenced by Walzer, but this is basically my feeling. Each important system of moral philosophy clearly gets something important right—otherwise they wouldn't be compelling—but I'm really doubtful there is one overarching system.
