Eh…from the opening prologue of the game, it's pretty clear that Hayter's cartoony voice wouldn't fit the tone. The game is still very *weird*, but not as goofy as previous entries. The opening is one of the most tense, horrifying, haunting things I've played in a videogame. Having Sutherland there added a lot of

I've only encountered one boss battle so far in MGSV, but if you liked The End in MGS3, you'll love this one. The story *is* insane, but it's a lot more minimalist than other entries.

I love this game, but the credits thing is fucking ridiculous. It's pure ego. There's no reason for him to do it outside of getting another opportunity to show his own damn name on screen. And, as you point out, it spoils everything. The mission where they re-introduce Skull Face (not a spoiler, since he was

I have all three consoles. The Wii U gets by far the most play time. I'm a fan of platformers (my favorite genre, actually) so it's a dream console. Some absolutely brilliant, creative platformers that all look gorgeous. And when it comes to multiplayer, forget about it. Nintendo still owns my living room. I have

…I did it. I mean, I've heard it runs great on PS3, but man oh man. This is the most technically impressive game I've ever played. Best console graphics I've ever seen, and it runs without a hitch—consistent 60 fps. I'm not a techie at all, but honestly, it was worth it. There's so much to this game. I've put quite a

I've been playing some Brawl lately, actually. I'm really into Smash 4 and it made me realize how terrible I was at Brawl, even though me and my friends played it ALL THE TIME. So I went back to test my skills. That game is fun as balls. I get, objectively, why people like it less than Melee, but Smash is Smash.

I got a Revolution notification for THIS?

I haven't finished it yet, but that's interesting. But honestly, the series came to a perfect (for Metal Gear) close with 4. Solid Snake's journey came to a very, very satisfying conclusion and without spoiling too much, so does Big Boss'. So, MGS4 is the *true* ending of the series, for me, and always will be.

You definitely don't need to play previous MGS games to enjoy Phantom Pain. There's some story moments that won't have the impact that they otherwise might, but the story is very minimal after the opening sequence, and the gameplay is just unreal.

I was talking about this with some people lately. If Kojima isn't bisexual…well he's the most equal-opportunist for sexiness in games. You've got a whole segment of MGS2 where Raiden is literally naked; Snake's got the greatest butt of all time; most of the Metal-Gears have dick-guns.

Totally loving Metal Gear Solid V.

That's what I thought it was.

Bond has notoriously silly continuity though. A black Bond wouldn't be any more ridiculous than Dalton (EDIT: Lazenby! Whoops…) saying "This never happened to the other fellow!" in HMSS.

I'm watching Luther right now. That man IS Bond. And Batman.
Luther is…legit, just a Batman show. He's Bats and Alice is Joker.

Super 8 is a great movie, god damn it.

I guess I'm speaking more generally about Nickelodeon. I haven't kept up with Cartoon Network or Disney lately but I hear good things.

Certainly, but when the idea came about to adapt it for television, why would they not just come up with SHORTS, and be true to the beloved characters that existed for decades?

I remember that thing! Do you remember that thing? It's so great that we remember that thing. Remembering is good. Remembering is so very good.

The art was ridiculously bad. But it was cleverly written and had an interesting atmosphere.

There are plenty of brilliant artists and animators out there with great ideas for children's cartoons. The problem is, animation is once again in a rut where the networks have realized that they can spend jack shit developing cheap, assembly-line cartoons and kids will watch it anyway. Or, even better, just recycle
