I'm pretty sure we will, and I hope that her and Raylan have some interactions before the season is through. The writers are really testing Boyd and Ava's relationship, especially on Boyd's end, and I have a feeling that they'll be putting Ava through the ringer soon too.
Imagine if Raylan goes to Ava to lean on Boyd?

I thought that too, but a couple episodes ago Carl was talking to Wade at Audrey's, telling Wade to get Boyd his cut when Dewey was out of the office (leading to the whole conversation about the fat hooker).

As interested as I am in who Johnny has become this season after the fallout from what happened last season, his death is a little overdue. Take care of him already, Boyd.

Listening to his headphones obliviously as the explosions and jailbreak happen behind him.

Boyd had a shitload of good lines tonight, but he seems to have an incredible speech at least once a season. I think we got our Season 5 speech fairly early.

Duffy shooting Cyrus repeatedly with the BB gun had me rolling.

Me too, if he showed up I thought it would be in some pathetic role that would show him at the mercy again of Boyd or Raylan, but I'd much rather see him be a full-blown threat this time around.

Fellow Mc. I like that.

You mean again? She showed up in the second episode of Season 3 as Karen Goodall (FX couldn't give her the last name Sisco for some legal reasons, they found a cute way around it)

Last time we saw him, he was tied up in Boyd's bar when Raylan and Rachel show up. He asks them to let him go, and Raylan says it's up to Rachel; they leave us up in the air about it, but I can't see Rachel just leaving him to die.

Calling it right now; Johnny is behind the hijacking of Boyd's drug shipment.

Top o' the first, Raylan!

Agreed.  I'm pretty sure he was on the show in the second season, Raylan and Winona go to see him in a bar while she's still married to Gary.

I think the scenes between Raylan and Boyd tonight were some of the best in the series.  And I suspect as I watch this episode more I'll like it more than I did the first time.

PREVIEW SPOILERS
In the preview for next week, we see Boyd writhing on the ground and screaming while being restrained by three or four cops, so I'd say your Ava prediction is a good one.

The guy that asked Raylan if he was involved in the shooting has been on the show since the second season; he was the one Boyd paid off on the bridge to help him undermine Doyle.  Not saying he couldn't be working for Detroit, though.

Telling him to 'eat sheeeiiiit' the whole episode.

You're right about that.  He's also the same deputy that Boyd pays off in the season 2 finale, who gives up Dickie's location to Boyd after Dickie shoots Ava, which ultimately leads to Boyd saving Raylan's life.

Next week's finale is titled Ghosts.  I have nothing else to add except that's a badass name for a season finale.
