Whoa that smile actually looks genuine. I didn’t know the Trumps were capable of such things.

I mean, using the White House budget to do Christmas decor, how on earth do you get that wrong?

In the words of one of Murray’s Flight of the Conchords posters, “New Zealand...rocks!”

Hmm I almost wonder if the later date of UK Christmas songs has to do with the time table in which rationing finally ended following WWII. People weren’t exactly post-war flush with cash and conspicuously consuming in the same way as in the US.

Fun fact: Macca is a nickname people use to refer to Paul McCartney. The more you know! *starwipe*

I think there are diminishing returns on this baby talk thing.

Yeah I loved playing it on violin for Christmas mass (playing music for that was a good way to make the 1.5 hour mass go by a little faster). But I hated when anyone tried to sing it.

Please save us, Vince Guaraldi Trio.

“Did you ever pay money to hear music performed by California funk-rock band the Red Hot Chili Peppers?”

“I’ll Be Home for Christmas” is almost guaranteed to make me cry. The year my dad was in Iraq I just about had a nervous breakdown with that one.

Pearls aren’t inherently bad (though I mean, they do age you a bit, QE2 and my grandma wear pearls). But those are just a bad style for her. She should wear a longer set or something because they look like they’re constantly choking her.

For sure. Morghim and I are the “Blade Runner agnostics” that Dowd describes and we went to see it largely based on the coolness of the trailer (and the fact that we trusted Villenueve wouldn’t let us down).

What’s even funnier is that the commenting community here would still be MUCH larger if they hadn’t switched over to Kinja.

Though it does at least do the highlighted line thing next to your own comments now. So it’s easier to find your threads.

That is very informative, thank you!

You might have to manually go and update the plug-in, but mine updated automatically about a week ago.

Guys the latest Kinjaimprove update almost restores all commenting functionality! It even improved other site problems that the AVC has yet to address, like a button to jump back to the top of the article.

He should be. His original compositions are frequently even better than his direct parodies. Also writing a successful parody is not exactly easy either.

You mean the entirety of the internet?

You know, even though Anna Karenina didn’t really work, I have to commend him and Stoddard for attempting an interesting concept with the “theater” affect. It wasn’t successful, but I appreciate that they tried something experimental.
