That Newswire picture fills me with an indescribable crushing sadness.

I'm a big fan of June Raphael, and what made the episode especially revelatory was how little of her backstory I knew. I agree it was definitely one of the best YMIW episodes I've heard, and that bit of silence and her articulation of how the pain of grief can be comforting nearly had me in tears.

Agreed. The best sorts of parody pay attention to aesthetics. The recent example of Key & Peele's "Les Miserables" sketch works very well, because not only are the costumes and acting are spot-on, but the camerawork is bizarre and obtrusive. The all-time greats, like SCTV's "Whispers of the Wolf" and Mr. Show's

"Picture of Edith Piaf".

R.I.P. I'm glad I spent it with you.

In terms of tension and artistry: The basement in Zodiac, and the Diner Scene.

I only saw the episode AS had for streaming (The one with Brian Poeshen and the "sex vans"), and I found it pretty funny. Glad it seems to be doing okay, and I support anything that has Mather Zickel, as well as all of the correspondents, in it.

I'd kind of like to see a run-through/sketch breakdown of The State.

Or the David Wain one left on the cutting room floor: "Ugh, it smells like the inside of a fake leg!"

Clearly, you've developed a very specific MO for your fictional kidnappers.

Well, now I'm thinking about the ending of "Leela's Homeworld". I have to go think about my fucked-up family, wolf down ice cream, and cry myself to sleep. I hope you're happy.

AND WE'RE ALL GONNA GET ON MOPEDS, AND WE'RE ALL GONNA BRING ACOUSTIC GUITARS, AND WE'RE ALL GONNA GO DOWN TO PARAMUS AND STAY IN A CRAPPY HOTEL, PLAY "LOUIE LOUIE", AND EAT CHICKEN WINGS UNTIL WE THROW UP!!!

Randall's a good husband.

He lives in Connecticut.

The wet T-shirt "twist" that took him forever to explain was amazing.

"When you wrote that book, The Goat Singers of Alpha-Centauri, where those martians have sex with all those goat people, what was that all about?"

Look! *All 3 get up and walk around street corner to look at flyer*

Ironic, given that Victoria Jackson is definitely infected with those alien slugs from Slither.

Psyched for this. And the sequence of face-punching made me strangely delighted.
