For some reason, I decided to click the link to the 911 call back when the AV Club reported that that guy from Seinfeld had shot himself in the head but not died.
Has anyone seen Hell Baby?
Oh, one more thing: it's on YouTube under the name "Riget", the name of the show in Danish. Searching "The Kingdom" won't be very helpful.
It's a mixture of genres, really. I'd call it a darkly humorous medical horror drama. I know that doesn't make sense to read (it barely makes sense to type), but it's the best description I can come up with.
Finished the first season of Von Trier's The Kingdom, and watched the first episode of the second. I feel nervous about continuing it, just because it's so riveting, and I know that it ends with many unanswered questions.
"My eyes! Ze goggles do nozing!"
"Haven't you ever seen Hearts of Darkness?"
"What ees a Turboman?"

Followed by "Yvgeny!"
I thought this was great. Not amazing yet, but definitely has a unique feel to it. Seeing that Jonathan Kriesel (Portlandia) directed it also helps. Add me to the list of someone who's excited to see more "Wheels, Ontario".
That guy who used to do the VO for their promos killed any humor that may have been in them with his strip-club DJ voice.
*Shudder*

Personally, I found the window writing to be one of the more surprising non-explosion parts of the movie. It was similar to watching George Bush keep reading My Pet Goat in Fahrenheit 9/11, but for opposite reasons, seeing how long she had to wait before something was done.
