Sometimes in life a moment comes when you realize that other people can think so differently than you.

Forget the rest of the movies talked about here. Goodfellas not winning the Oscar is THE WORST injustice in Academy history.

I remember watching The Bodyguard about a million times when it was on HBO. It's not bad.

Are you simple or something? When his mic was cut he was just saying exactly what he said when Bubba died.

Every time I see him jump off the boat, I think he's committing suicide, then I remember, no he's not.

The part where he's talking about Bubba dying and says something like "He was going to be a shrimper, but instead he died there in Vietnam" is one of the more profound anti war sentiments expressed in mainstream film.

My dad's a Vietnam vet too. After he saw Saving Private Ryan he said everyone should see it just so they could get some idea of what combat was actually like (the opening scene specifically).

Thanks for the link……………………………………………………………NOT!

I guess it depends on context. You can overdo pedantry, for example.

Jesus, it's 2014, aren't we past the time of shitty looking Youtube videos?

Bacon and ham are only the same thing in Canada.

Wait, you think the Smith's vegetarian preachiness is cooler than this episode?!?!

No, Our Bodies is pretty damn good start to finish. There may be a few clunkers but there are a whole bunch of clever and catchy songs on that album.

I don't get it. I grew up in the 80s and 90s and this episode is the only reason I know that Pogs exist. I still have no idea what they are, other than that they're round and have ALF on them.

I sure hope he does! Best part of my day.

You know, I just looked at all his albums and think Face the Truth is probably my favorite front to back. The self titled album is #2.

Eh, only the second best Tennyson rhyme I know of. The best is The Hold Steady rhyming Tennyson with Izzy Stradlin.

What is the first line of Ell Ess Too? I play that song on the guitar, and I know it's not the right lyrics, but I sing "Out of money on my plateau" because it sounds similar and fits the theme of the song.

I always thought it was "Charts are like a puzzle" since the rest of the song is about trying to negotiate the music scene.

There's a Box Elder Drive in St. Louis. I'm sure that's what he was referring to.
