I hadn't seen an episode of 30 Rock since season 3, but I caught this last night and thought it was AMAZING! I honestly don't remember the last time I laughed so hard watching a TV show. Great episode - I was aware of the live episode last season but still haven't seen it.

I am also NOT doing this. Nor will I watch episodes of X-Files I illegally downloaded while I wait.

Isn't it crazy that ska punk is still a thing, that kids still go to these shows and start crappy bands, yet most of them have never even heard of Operation Ivy?

"Replaced With CGI Bantha" isn't as funny.

My point is there is no fundamental nature of the Island - at least not one which is ever revealed to the audience - because the perception of it is always shaped by its inhabitants. As the show progresses, you see the island from different perspectives - the 815ers, the Others, the Dharma Initiative, etc. With each

I think this is debatable because our understanding of the island is filtered by the characters on it. Locke's perception of the island in the first season influences how the audience perceives the island for the rest of the series, for example. If you change the characters, the perception would be different.

It's not a Christmas song at all, but T-Rex's Metal Guru puts me in the Christmas mood every time. I guess it just has an accidental wintery, festive sound… Go listen to it right now.

Same thing happens to me. The riffing is great, but I start to get sleepy as soon as the opening scene starts. I think it's the music, and, as Sinclair points out, the fact that so many characters lie around napping in those movies. It's infectious.

"Have you seen Glenn?"

I agree. Second most brilliant: "Underwater fight scenes are the drum solos of movies." from Devil Fish - another great, rarely-mentioned episode.

Frankenhooker!

The hotness of the actress playing the wife would probably make it a little easier, no?

Blood Waters of Dr. Z has to be one of my top five favorite MST3K episodes.

You can get all the episodes on piratebay… or so I've heard. Incidentally, I've been watching all the episodes in order (about halfway through Manos right now as it happens) and one thing that I find rather amazing is how often other MST3K movies get referenced in the riffs. I think they're referenced about as often

That "I don't want to choke on your chicken!" comment made it sound like maybe he had something else on his mind.

You're are not… not going through! Double negative, you're going through!

I keep thinking "Master Chimp."
