Sure, let's get that written out. Anything for a sixth season!
Terrible
No way this gets better than a D, Sean. This has gotta be the laziest South Park episode in a long time, if ever. At the "What is that? It's called a Snookie!" line I just wanted to turn the TV off. (But I didn't, because I am a lonely man.)
Er, ah, yes.
Very well put. Where did this Megan come from? How this will play out over the next two episodes is my top question now.
Stan Hooper, Coma Victim
Probably his greatest sketch on SNL.
Also, "King of Wishful Thinking," by New Found Glory, if we're plumbing the Embarrassing playlists on our iTunes.
"Don't Think Twice It's Alright" is definitely not gleeful, though. He's not exactly skipping down that road, thinking about all the precious time she wasted.
Pretending To Be Happy About It But Obviously Not Break-Up Songs
"Just Like A Woman," Bob Dylan.
Older one is better
Aw, why does he have to have his comeuppance at the end? It works better if you think it's just a guy bitching out his ex and then breaking down in tears over how much he still loves her. Who hasn't been there?
My favorite part of that plot was at the end, when she commented on changing "one little thing."
My favorite part was how hurt ricin beans seemed by that random commenter.
He looks so much older than the other guys in that photo. Does he play the retired criminal who's mentoring the young hotshot but also trying to teach him that crime doesn't pay?
Roger and Joan
Roger and Joan's relationship is shaping up really nicely (almost as nice as Joan! Boom!). It might be my favorite outside of Don and Peggy. You wouldn't think, four seasons ago, that Joan would be the only one Roger would completely open up to about his war traumas.
The best part of Horse Apples was the occasional moment when they would veer into open despair. I forget the exact wording, but that one joke that ended with the audience asking, "Why don't you think things through?" and the redneck sadly responds, "Well, that's the problem with my people, isn't it?"
*I* thought it was funny, Neckbeard.
Don accepting the sister's demand felt pretty forced
I really had a hard time believing that Don would just roll over and accept Anna's sister's demand that he keep the cancer news quiet. You'd think Don would have hauled Anna into a hospital and started administering chemo himself if it would keep his only true…
I think Don's been rejected more times in the past two episodes than in the entire run. IT DOESN'T FEEL RIGHT.
Hermes = Anakin
I really didn't see that Inspector #5 twist coming at all. It smacks a little bit like the "Anakin built C3PO," doesn't it? Like it initially seems like a neat revelation, but the more you think about it, the less sense it makes. Jamaican Hermes living in Mexico being only one of the many questions.
2nd Circuit, not NY Court of Appeals
Just for saying, it wasn't the New York Court of Appeals, it was the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. The latter is the federal appeals court that happens to sit in New York. The former is the supreme court of New York state.
