Unstoppable.  Tony Scott gets how to do action.  I wish that he wouldn't use a quick zoom or focus on his lead actors simply because they are starting a sentence, but at 90 minutes the movie is thrilling and fun and to the point.

I just saw The Last Command a few weeks ago accompanied by an Alloy Orchestra score. I thought it was amazing, probably in the top 5 Silent Films I've seen (I haven't seen either film in this set, but I have seen The Blue Angel). It has the best dramatic acting I've seen in a silent film. I highly recommend it.

What's up Metal Heads!
This is a great write-up Mr. Piece, always excited to read whatever you've been writing, and the comments are a good read.

Dissapointed the Firstie here wasn't - RIBONUCLEIC ACID FREAKOUT!

I guess my username didn't take long to inspire everyone.

Sorry, Great Joint.

Great Movie
And a great review/write-up. Nice job. I saw this movie for the first time a few years ago and was really blown away. I was surprised about how playful (probably not the best word) the style was. It really is a lot of fun to watch and thusly feels even more poignant when things fall apart.

Best Hi-C Ever!

I like horror movies. I think this is good casting. Assuming Platinum Dunes isn't behind this, I'm pretty excited.

Thanks for the lengthy reply, Mr. Mexico. I now need to see a side by side picture comparison of Jon Lovitz and Michael Cimino.

The Book Sounds Cool
How convincing is his argument that Heaven's Gate killed Hollywood auteurism? And how much does he comment on other directors aside from Cimino?
