Given that undecideds and third party supporters are polling at historically high numbers, perhaps the "giant douche vs. turd sandwich" metaphor is apt.

Hey Dennis. Thanks much for doing Narcos reviews. I was coming to terms with the fact that AVC's coverage and my own tastes had diverged, so it's nice to see a show I actually watch get reviewed.
I am, however, going to quibble with the focus on Agent Murphy, as it is a bit repetitive. He is undoubtedly quite boring

My Narcos reading list viz.

There's still quite a lot of history they could use to build at least another two seasons viz. the Cali Cartel, the Norte del Valle Cartel, FARC getting into the narco trade, FARC's subsequent resurgence, the emergence of the AUC in opposition to FARC, AUC being dismantled and the emergence of various BACRIMs.

I assume they don't cover it because it's not American.

Yeah that was an awesome season of Peaky Blinders. The AV Club could have done a For Our Consideration piece on the soundtrack alone.

I rewatched X Company, which I am apparently obsessed with. There's a scene in season 2 where Aurora and Sabine discuss Brecht's Threepenny Opera. Not being familiar with musical theatre, I was surprised to hear that Brecht had done a musical. Further down the wikihole, I found out that "Mack the Knife" was originally

I wish someone had a sharpie so they could mark BPC's face or clothing every time he says "mark me". But aside from that, Highland charge, fuck yeah!

I consider myself to be an MRA and I don't consider Jezebel to be representative of feminism as a whole. Feminism, like the MRM, is too fractured to have anything like a "leader". Jezebel is just low hanging fruit which is easily mocked. You don't see MRAs ragging on Mary Wollstonecraft because her philosophy is

It's Gawker not the friggin' Christian Science Monitor. The biggest threat to good journalism is people not reading it (also, the scaling back of FOI rights, but that's a substantial tangent)

HNIC=Hockey Night In Canada. What does it mean in the Hugh Ess?

Beavertail National park, which doesn't exist. Also strange choice for her to go to a National park where that sort of camping is illegal. She could have bushwhacked through crown land to her heart's content without breaking any laws. Maybe she needed bars on her phone.

Damn it Aurora! You need to go back in time to kill Nazis!

That interview made me miss The Hour. His talents are wasted on HNIC.

Deus ex Helena? More like Helena Crocket.

Leonard Cohen had a song featured in the new season of Peaky Blinders too. It's like he's suddenly cool or something.

“At this moment, they might desire to exalt me onto a pedestal. But the next? You’re a human sacrifice. The control is not in my hands.”
And then we proceed to sacrifice her on the altar of smug, self-satisfied, intellectual superiority. Our Gods will be pleased.

This was actually my favourite episode this season. Outlander was starting to lose me with the costume drama and the people-coming-to-terms-with-things, but it seems to be reclaiming the action/adventure elements which drew me to the series in the first place. As an unapologetic fan of war films, shows and

Lauren Hammersley is a pretty solid comedic talent. The show actually has quite a few talented actors who are not Tatiana Maslany.
